Reeling in the face of digital revolution

From Scotsman.com: INDEPENDENT cinema owners in Scotland have five years to embrace new technology and business ideas or face going bust, a conference was told in Glasgow this week. Cinema owners from across the UK heard how two or three-screen businesses such as the Glasgow Film Theatre (GFT), the Grosvenor, or the Cameo and Dominion in Edinburgh can take on the might of the dominant multiplex screens. In Scotland alone, 120 independent cinemas generate revenue worth £5 million.
