VILLAGE Roadshow plans to start a deluxe cinema chain in the US next year, after returning to profit.
The cinema and theme park operator has signed up 12 sites in US cities including New York and Seattle for Gold Class cinemas, with the first theatre scheduled to open in Washington DC next May. The cinema chain will grow to about 40 complexes across the US within three to five years, Village Roadshow boss Graham Burke told the Herald yesterday.
