Digital Projector

At the theater I work at we just got our first digital projector! It’s so cool, we control it through a touch screen computer and instead of film the movie is on a portable hardrive. The other day at work we got it running and sat in the theater to watched some of it. The image is amazing, no scratches or little black spots. It was cool to see but at the same time it was kind of depressing because slowly the digital projectors will take over the the movie theater world and us projectionists will loose our jobs. Not that I want to be a projectionist for the rest of my life but there are a lot of die hard projectionists out there.
