An iconic Essex cinema will be transformed into one of Wetherspoon’s biggest pubs next year if planning permission is approved.
The empty State Cinema in Grays, Essex, has loomed over the town for years.
When it was operational, it was one of country’s most modern cinemas, containing 2,200 seats.
