Its Cineworld for Movie-Man

Gary Stevens, former Director of the Central Cinema in Fakenham is to become the new General Manager of Cineworld in Didcot Oxfordshire (UK). Stevens will take over from the current GM in September.

“I am excited by this new challenge which will give me the opportunity to build on the good reputation the cinema already has in the town” said Gary “Cineworld is a leading company brand and I look foreword to working with the team at Didcot”.

Gary has worked with various independent cinema operators throughout the UK including launching Apollo Cinemas first shopping Centre development based in Redditch. He later became operations manager for Merlin Cinemas in the South West before taking on his own Cinema in Norfolk until March this year. Following his parents footsteps Gary is now a veteran of the cinema business and first entered the industry as a projectionist at the ABC Cinema in Wolverhampton over 30 years ago. Gary’s passion for the business includes performing on screen with various short films and commercials already under his belt. Gary will soon also be seen on Television within the new Sky Arts indents.
