New momentum: Russian cinema market resumes growth path

In 2010, the Russian cinema exhibition market has been showing increased growth rates, a sign that the consequences of the financial crisis are being gradually overcome. As of July 1, 2010, Russia boasted 2,246 modern screens in 829 cinemas. More than 120 new screens in 28 cinemas were opened during the first half of the year.
