Diggers drive out blockbuster premieres as Leicester Square becomes building site

Leicester Square has welcomed some of the biggest stars in the world to its international movie premieres. But for the next 17 months it will host a giant building site – putting red- carpet appearances by the likes of Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz and Emma Watson under threat.
