Hawera cinema gets guarded approval

The submissions have flooded in on the fate of cash-strapped Hawera Cinema 2 and most submitters are happy for ratepayers to pay more to keep it alive. More than 536 submissions were received on whether South Taranaki District Council should or should not provide additional ongoing financial support for the cinema.
