Global Showbiz: NBCUniversal Expansion, Dutch Cinemas All Digital

The Los Angeles City Planning Commission has given the OK for NBCUniversal to move to the next step in the approval process for a long-planned expansion at its San Fernando Valley site. The recommendation Thursday came after the company agreed to commit $3.3 million for a bike path along the LA River, a key demand by environmentalists and others opposed to the company’s original expansion plan, the LA Times reports.
