“Great Movies, Great Presentation…” We’ve borrowed our headline from the new 16-screen Lincoln Square Cinemas, the latest project by NATO board chairman Phil Harris, who is also president of Lincoln Square Cinemas LLC and several other companies. What better way is there is to counter last year’s much-reported moviegoing malaise than to celebrate those fabulous new places to enjoy films that have opened since our survey in March and April of 2005? Just like last year, this Film Journal International selection makes no claim at being comprehensive, but still had to be extended into two parts.
