An exhibition that examines the work of one of Britain’s finest architectural and social photographers, John Maltby (1910–1980), whose archive is held by the RIBA Library Photographs Collection. Beginning with a commission for the Odeon cinema chain in the 1930s, Maltby enjoyed a long-lasting and diverse career that embraced work for architects, manufacturers and designers, among them Tecton, the Design Research Unit and Sir Terence Conran, in addition to a clutch of magazines from The Architect & Building News to Modern Woman.
