Bulgarian cinemas ended 2018 with a yearly total of 4,900,408 admissions, a 12% decrease compared to 2017 (5,573,812 admissions), according to data made public by the Bulgarian National Film Center. Last year’s number of admissions is lower than the number of viewers racked up in 2016 (5,532,490) and 2015 (5,335,073). In terms of earnings, 2018 brought in a total of €23.54 million, a 9.2% decrease compared to 2017 (€25.93 million).
