Because there simply weren’t enough premium theaters to meet global demand, audiences seeking those Dolby Cinemas and IMAX experiences had to wait and purchase tickets weeks into the films’ runs, to insure they got the seats they wanted (and, for families and groups of friends, to get enough seats together in a row).
