A DAIRY farm has been given permission to host an open air cinema and live music as well as sell alcohol despite objections from concerned neighbours.
Churchfields Farm wanted to update its licence so it could host a twice-yearly open air cinema in its grounds.
The well-known dairy farm, in Salwarpe near Droitwich, was also given permission to play music and host live music indoors and outdoors as well as sell alcohol and late-night refreshments as part of events by Wychavon District Council’s licensing subcommittee.
The application attracted several objections from neighbours who said they were concerned by noise and the potential nuisance caused by selling alcohol. The farm said it was “delighted” to receive the backing of the council and would work with specialists to ensure noise was kept to a minimum.
