Cinemark knows it needs to roll out the red carpet to lure moviegoers back to its theaters, where sitting for a two-hour movie in a seat that was occupied by multiple strangers no longer seems normal.
The Plano, Tex.-based theater chain said Wednesday it will start a four-phase reopening on June 19, beginning with five theaters in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Cinemark will begin by showing classic films for $5 and then transition to studio releases with regular pricing in July.
