The Covid-19 lockdown has ended such eccentricities, increasing the global appetite for on-demand platforms that let people watch what they want, when they want, how they want.
Cineworld, the world’s second largest multiplex chain, climbed 3p, or 5.1 per cent, to 63¼p after Boris Johnson revealed the bare-bones plot of Britain’s journey in the months ahead, raising hopes of “at least some” venues reopening in July.
