What are Cineworld playing at with allocated seating and what does it mean for the customer?

Following a heavily critical article on the standard of Cineworld’s digital projection practices, you might assume I have an anti-Cineworld bias. As an Unlimited card holder, I assure you I don’t, but I do take issue with cinemas actively biting the hand that feeds, and unfortunately in Cineworld’s case, they appear to be doing so once again, though this time they’re insisting it’s for our benefit.
