Council given green light to draw up plans in bid to restore bombed Hull cinema

Hull City Council has been given the green light to bid for almost £290,000 in National Lottery funding to restore the derelict National Picture Theatre.

Council documents showed the National Lottery Heritage Fund has approved a grant to draw up more detailed designs for the building which was bombed during a Second World War air raid. It has stood derelict since.
