Critics’ Poll: ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Named Best Movie of the 2010s

250 critics, programmers, academics, and distributors have spoken. Sure, the decade is officially not over, but we couldn’t help but be quick on the trigger and survey the industry about the best of the past ten years.This past fall, World of Reel conducted a poll of critics, programmers, academics, filmmakers, and others to identify the top films of the decade thus far. And the winner is…George Miller’s “Mad Max: Fury Road”. After dropping jaws back in the summer of 2015, George Miller’s stunning action movie bested Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life” by a mere 9 votes. It appeared in almost 1/4 of the lists, and was voted best movie of the last 10 years.
