For the first time in years, we’re heading for a crowded release slate of tentpole movies at the box-office this July in what’s being considered a major stress test for the theatrical marketplace.A fifth “Indiana Jones,” seventh “Mission: Impossible,” the return of Christopher Nolan, and a much-hyped “Barbie” movie are all opening in the span of three weeks, and all will be competing for eyeballs and dollars.
That doesn’t mean it has to be unfriendly, as action movie legend Tom Cruise has taken to social media to celebrate the competition his film will face.
