Date set for demolition of Cheltenham’s iconic Odeon cinema | Gloucestershire Echo

For more than 70 years the Odeon cinema stood as a monument to entertainment and moving pictures.

The Art Deco venue was Cheltenham’s answer to Birmingham’s Electric Cinema and London’s Apollo, starting as a theatre in 1933 before going on to showcase the films of everyone from Steven Spielberg to Peter Jackson.
