East Finchley Phoenix Cinema opens applications for new trustee to help run operations (From Borehamwood Times)

Cinema fanatics could be in with a chance to help run a cinema which is a favourite among famous faces like Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench and Michael Palin.The Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley, built in 1910, was saved from demolition in 1985 and has since been run as a community cinema by the Phoenix Cinema Trust.Now the trust is looking for a new trustee to help manage the cinema’s finances, develop future business strategies and help with promotion.
