East Providence Cinema, shut down due to bad check, allowed to reopen

The city shut down the cinema on Saturday evening after a check issued by the owners for $9,250 was returned for insufficient funds, according to a letter from City Clerk Samantha Burnett to Ben Kafash, one of the cinema’s owners.
