The world’s leading digital projection system, the Christie® Solaria® Series, has been selected as digital projector of choice for the Starr Theater at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, one of the most prestigious movie premiere venues in the United States. Preferred Christie dealer Digital Media Systems performed the installation in preparation for the 51st Annual New York Film Festival (NYFF), which will run from September 27 to October 13. The 4K resolution Christie projection system debut on Friday, with the festival’s Opening Night world premiere of “Captain Phillips,” a film starring Tom Hanks and based on the true story of the 2009 seizure by four Somali pirates of the Maersk Alabama cargo ship.
