Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ang Lee is on a quest to find out how digital cinema will change the world, and says he is trying to learn how to speak in that language.

“Each movie, starting with ‘Life Of Pi’, (I’ve been) searching for what digital cinema can do for us. It’s a new language, and I’m trying to learn how to say that language. It’s a different experience, different process, different final movie,” Lee said.”I think that in movies, 500 years from now, people will look back and go, ‘Oh, for the first hundred years they did just that…’ People will look back and realise how much more there was to be done. I refuse to think that nearly 50 years ago we reached the peak. We have just scratched the surface. There are still a lot of things to explore. It’s like silent movies. It’s like sound, like colour. We went through that,” he added. The “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” director says technology has changed the way he directs actors.
