Footage from 1999 of old London Road Odeon before demolition is sure to bring back memories 

Those of a certain age in Liverpool will remember the former Odeon cinema, on London Road. It opened for business back on October 15, 1934 and as well as screening the latest films it would host gigs and events. Some of the cinemas most famed moments in its 74 years include The Beatles playing there on December 8, 1963 and screening of A Hard Day’s Night the following year. A nostalgic video has now been shared with the ECHO from inside the cinema in 1999 by former worker Alan Ditchfield.
