Harkness’ new iPad, iPhone and Web Apps

After months of anticipation building, the Harkness development team finally let the cat out of the bag and revealed our two new iPad, iPhone and web-based apps at CinemaCon last week and have now set them free into the world via the Apple iPad and iPhone App stores.

The two new apps (Digital Screen Modeller and Digital Screen Archiver) form part of the next generation of tools from Harkness Screens and build upon the already popular Digital Screen Checker to form an end-to-end solution for cinema screens.  From design and equipment validation through to on-screen brightness, maintenance, monitoring and refurbishment, Harkness now has a set of intuitive tools that will help you to manage your screen portfolio…and what’s more these two new apps are free, yes completely FREE!

The Digital Screen Modeller is an iPad and web-based real-time 3D simulation tool that allows architects, engineers and exhibitors to visualise and optimise digital cinema scenarios in a virtual environment.  The tool enables more informed decisions about screen, projector and lamp choices to be made before they’re even installed or as part of planned retrofit/refurbishment projects. Download from the App Store!

The Digital Screen Archiver is a secure cloud-based iPhone and web-based tool that aids projectionists, managers, engineers and exhibitors to maintain their digital cinema auditoria. Capture key cinema data in a standardised format during maintenance visits and use extensive back-end reporting tools to schedule maintenance and monitor screen performance against industry standards. Download from the App Store!
