Hull’s National Picture Theatre needs help to bring bomb-hit cinema back to life

A major project to bring a Hull landmark back to life is looking for volunteers to help in the restoration process.

The National Picture Theatre on Beverly Road is looking for people to help assist with a project to conserve and repair the building and its heritage features.

The derelict Hull cinema was almost destroyed in a 1941 bombing raid and could re-open as an education centre and memorial late next year.
