After pivoting its business model away from traditional bar operations, Gorilla Cinema is taking what it learned from operating amid the coronavirus pandemic and reopening two of its bars, one under new branding.
Gorilla Cinema reopened the bar that marked its debut into the brick-and-mortar world, Pleasant Ridge’s Overlook Lodge at 6083 Montgomery Road, on Jan. 15. It was the first time the bar had been open to the general public since early into the pandemic, used instead primarily to host immersive ticketed events.
