Lebanese cinema chain Empire Cinemas has opened its first-ever 10-screen, 728-seat multiplex in Jazan, located on Saudi Arabia’s southern Red Sea coast.

“Empire Cinemas marked today a major step in fulfilling its commitment to seeing the exciting world of international, regional and Saudi filmmaking featured in cinemas in every city in the Kingdom,” a press release said.

Empire Cinemas partnered with Al-Rashid Mall in Jazan for the cinema opening, and claims to offer a diverse range of services combined with tailor-made movie experiences.

The opening ceremony took place under the patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz, in the presence of VIP guests and dignitaries.

The new cinema venue is expected to become Jazan’s favorite entertainment destination.

“We are honored and proud to be part of this journey, contributing to a key pillar of Vision 2030,” said Empire Cinemas CEO Gino Haddad.

“Empire Cinemas has invested heavily in creating an exceptional movie-watching experience — incorporating not just the latest movie content and state-of-the-art technology but also top-quality food and beverage with superior customer service aiming for an experience that exceeds the expectations and the market standards,” a statement said.
