Two Prime Ministers have walked its famous boards as well British suffragette founder Emilline Pankhurst.
David Lloyd George, Prime Minister between 1916 and 1922 and Anthony Eden, Prime Minister between 1955 and 1957, visited the town to deliver speeches and when the Royal Albert Hall was already known as one of the premier venues in the region.
The hall was built in 1896 when local Presbyterians raised £2,000 for its construction.
