One of television’s most recognisable faces has backed a campaign to save a local cinema that has been in a Hampshire town for 110 years. Phil Spencer has been a Hampshire resident for a number of years.The Location, Location, Location star moved to the county in 2015, purchasing a property for a reported £3.35million with its own cinema, 10 acres of land and a tennis court.
Despite purchasing a property that had its own cinema when purchased, the Channel 4 star is backing a campaign to keep open a cinema local to him. The Palace Cinema in Alton first opened in 1912.
