One of IBC’s best attractions is the IBC Big Screen Experience, a full programme of editorially led sessions and ground-breaking product demonstrations. The RAI Auditorium is equipped with the state of the art digital cinema technology especially for IBC and this year the technology is even more impressive than ever – and delivering great content. The IBC Technical Team has installed a number of Christie projectors into the Auditorium for the Experience. These include a high brightness projector for digital Pro-AV content. But the star of the show this year is the new high brightness Christie’s 6-Primary (6P) laser colour system. This is being used for 3D screenings, using the Dolby format. The laser projector delivers an extraordinary 14 foot lambert (fL) on the screen, making 3D movies look more bright, crisp and stunning than ever before.
