Noel Clarke drops slander lawsuit against Bafta

The academy reports that the actor and producer Noel Clarke has discontinued his legal lawsuit against Bafta.

It comes after he earned the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award last year and had his membership suspended ‘until further notice’ after 20 women alleged sexual harassment and abuse to The Guardian.

Clarke disputed all charges, and the Met opted not to open a criminal investigation last month, ruling that the allegations did not “meet the standard” for a criminal investigation.
