It was the largest grant issued in the East of England and plans can now be developed to build a brand new hall in the village, near Downham Market.
Victoria Gray, chairman of the hall’s management committee said: “Everyone involved in the project is absolutely buzzing since we heard this stage of our application has been successful. The funding will go towards paying for the professional services of an architect to design and submit an application for full planning permission.”
