Agatha Christie loved it so much she took her family for years and Paignton Picture House still has a place in many people’s memories though it closed its heavy wooden doors for the last time some 16 years ago. Currently the Picture House in Torbay Road is the only one of the country’s top five historic cinemas not in use.
