Pittsburg Mall 8 Theater going entirely digital

Pittsburg’s Mall 8 Theater in the Meadowbrook Mall should be projecting movies in an entirely digital format by the end of the month. Officials from ShowPlex Cinemas, the Overland Park – based company that owns the theaters, said work is ongoing to make the transition from 35 millimeter film projection to 100 percent digital cinema projection and upgraded sound across all eight screens this week.
