Moviegoers in Petaling Jaya can now look forward to a wholesome cinematic experience at MBO Cinemas following the launch of the latest outlet in Atria Shopping Gallery, Damansara.
Being one of the largest cinema outlets in Petaling Jaya, the latest cinema features two of the MBO’s much-loved concept halls, the MBO KECIL and Big Screen.
Another significant addition to MBO Atria’s lineup is the introduction of MBO’s first Onyx Cinema LED theatre from Samsung.

The Samsung Onyx Theater in MBO Atria is set to captivate audiences by redefining traditional cinema-going experience and delivering ultra-sharp high definition content on the silver screen with a futuristic LED theatre display.
The hall also features cutting-edge technology including an impressive 4K resolution that supports High Dynamic Resolution (HDR) content, accurate colour presentation and distortion-free images.
An advanced true-to-life audio sound technology powered by Harman’s JBL Surround Sound System also allows the audience in every row to experience a clear and balanced sound.

Held at the concourse area of Atria Shopping Gallery, the grand launch event was officiated by MBO’s Chief Executive Officer, Lim Eng Hee.
Speaking at the grand launch ceremony, MBO’s Chief Executive Officer, Lim Eng Hee said, “We are committed to enabling a differentiated experience for moviegoers and for that, we have always looked into equipping our cinema halls with only the best of what technology, sound and visuals have to offer.”
“On top of our signature concept halls such as the child-friendly KECIL and the eye-opening Big Screen, we are proud to partner with Samsung to introduce the Onyx Cinema LED technology at MBO Cinemas with our first hall in Atria Shopping Gallery,” added Lim.
With the opening of the latest outlet in Atria, MBO also hopes to diversify the functionality of their concept halls by doubling up as a venue space to hire for press launches, corporate events and private functions.
The MBO Cinemas in Atria Shopping Gallery currently offers a total of 8 screens including a Big Screen, Onyx hall and two Kecil halls. It seats a combined total of 1229 moviegoers comfortably.

Extending unique offerings beyond the cinema halls, MBO also has Cafecito, a full-fledged coffeehouse themed concessions stand serving fancy beverages and light snacks as well as a mini playground area near the café for the little ones.
