Long before the days of multiplexes, this was the first cinema experience for many of us.
Many of us will have fond memories of the old ABC cinema on the corner of Lime Street, overlooking the entrance to the main line station complex and St John’s shopping centre.
For many, it may have been our first experience of a visit to “the flics.”
Long before the days of the modern multiplex, the ABC was one of the main places to go in Liverpool to catch all the latest releases.
And it wasn’t just the film – the ornate and spacious interior of this grand old 1930s building was a treat in itself.
