SKYFALL Showcased On Sony Digital Cinema 4K Projector At Royal World Premiere in London

London, October 24th, 2012 – The Royal World Premiere of eagerly anticipated James Bond adventure, SKYFALL, took place on October 23rd at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London with the film screened using a state-of-the-art Sony Digital Cinema 4K projection system.

 

As the world’s leading manufacturer of 4K digital cinema projectors, Sony Digital Cinema was selected by Sony Pictures to supply a solution capable of providing viewers with a superior visual experience.  Displaying an image at more than four times the resolution of traditional 2K digital cinema projection systems, the SKYFALL premiere provided audiences with the most advanced on-screen presentation.

 

The stars and filmmakers of SKYFALL plus a glittering array of talent from screen, stage, music and sport lit up an incredible red carpet and the event was also attended by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

Daniel Craig is back as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007 in SKYFALL™, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time.  In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her.  As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
