The Romanian box office has seen growth of approximately 24.65% this year in terms of earnings, according to the country’s leading film website, Cinemagia. The exact increase in the number of admissions is impossible to evaluate, as one of the country’s biggest distributors, Forum Film, stopped making the number of admissions for its releases public. During the first six months of 2017, Romanian cinemas earned a total of €32.81 million, marking a steep increase from the €26.2 million earned in the first half of 2016.
