Many of you will know about my interest and love of cinema in unusual locations and venues, or which uses different types of technology. In fact if you have been in the industry long enough you will know that there is not actually anything new, just a re-engineering of the same thing differently. Two things I saw in 2012 which full into this category was a 360 degree cinema at the 2012 Paralympic Games:

Although it was an advertising event for BP, it was interesting to experience their 360 cinema.
The second, which has been referred to in other parts of the site, notably in the article about Bioscope Shows, is that of 5D cinema. This is becoming more familiar around the place although this one was part of a fairground event:
