Not all Athens-area movie theaters survived the COVID-19 pandemic. Though both Georgia Theatre Company locations and Ciné have since reopened, the AMC Dine-In on Lexington Road permanently closed back in September. The good news is that those 12 screens won’t remain dark for long.
